
INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY FUND AUDITS FOR MCPS SCHOOLS
What happens to money collected at local schools through student paid fees?
Money collected by local principals for curricular fees and other student fees (yearbook, field trips etc.) goes into an Independent Activity Fund (IAF) that is controlled by the local school Principal.
The money collected by the local principal in the IAF is to be used for the benefit of students according to MCPS Policy as outlined in the MCPS Manual of Policies and Procedures for Administering Independent Activity Funds.
